When my son was 7 months, this is the weekly menu plan I used. By this stage, we had worked our way through the list of first-stage weaning foods. All babies are different, so I suggest you adapt the menu to suit your own baby.

Some other things to consider:

  • At this stage, I had established a daytime routine for my son including his meal and sleep times.
  • If your child wakes up for his late feed, it is better to introduce a bottle for this feed so this way you are able to share your child’s feeding responsibility with others. If your child associates you with this feed, it will be difficult to break this association
  • You can try so many combinations of fruits and vegetables and no matter how weird it sounds, it works!

If you do use this weekly menu plan or as a guide, please share a pic on instagram and tag us @makyscorner #babychef #makysweeklymenuplan #makyscorner Have a blessed day…x

Hi Amaka, so I stalked u from Instagram and ended up on ur blog. Found exactly what I was looking for. This menu helps ease things a lot. *bighug*. So my son is 6months plus and I have introduced semi solids (pureed veggies n fruits) only thing is he just doesn’t want the bottle, and doesn’t even know how to……. Been trying for ages now, no luck. Any tips on how to get around this? I fear he now associates me with feeding

Hiya… yayy! hope you like the blog and please tell your friends.
ok so i had the same issue with my Micah, he associated me with breasts so wouldnt take the bottle. It was a real struggle for the first few weeks as I working but keep on trying and try not to give in unless you absolutely have to. Also try not to breast feed him for his late night feeds. if you can pump and let your husband or anyone take care of the night time feeding, it will help to stop him associating you with breasts or feeding time. please let me know how it goes… good luck..x
